First off, words can not express how upset I am about this Manny trade, but to the extent that the Sox management had to go just to trade him at the deadline, it shows how much his antics were affecting the team. I'm not ready to completely spill my feelings about this trade, but I'll say that I am glad that I got to go to a bunch of Sox games so far, and got to experience him in action, AND saw him hit his 500th down in Baltimore.
I was actually in Boston on Wednesday, I stayed overnight. I want to know why most of the trains on the Providence/Stoughton line decide NOT to stop at Ruggles, making me have to get off at Back Bay and take the Orange line at Ruggles. Either way, both times I got to Ruggles there were no less than five transit police officers roaming the station. Anyone know why they could have been there? I know that by Thursday morning there were no more active Amber Alerts.
And as a side note, one man who works at the Dunkin Donuts in Ruggles made me the BEST french vanilla iced coffee with sugar and milk. I've been to many DD stores that find some way to mess it up, but I practically had all of the coffee drunk by the time I got to Back Bay station. I wish I asked him his name and hours for September so I can specifically go out of my way to get that iced coffee again and again when I'm back in Boston for good.
